About Our Association
The New Zealand Propecia Association is the only national, research, non-profit non-government organization with mission to educating the public, professionals of different medical fields, mass media and governmental institutions about the mentally devastating illness, hair loss and surgical(hair transplantation) or pharmaceutical(propecia, proscar…) methods of its treatment.
Committed to prevent and treat alopecia, the PA does their best to support research, that will help in further developing the new methods of Alopecia treatment and cure help many silent patients to get back emotionally healthy life.
The PA clearly sees that hair loss of any kind is a seriously mentally bothering disorder and understands just how emotionally crippling it can be or become over time to many who suffer with it.
New Zealand Propecia Association is aware of many ethical medical practitioners and treatment providers in this field, we also clearly understand the vulnerability of the hair loss patient. That is why, the PA has been established in part to act as an advocate for all those with this disease from questionable hair loss practitioners and surgical and pharmaceutical treatment marketers.
Through individual and corporate financial donors, the New Zealand Propecia Association will provide educational materials to any interested healthcare professionals involved in treating and educating hair loss patients. These informational materials will also be sent to hair salons and directly to all of those interested in.
The New Zealand Propecia Association is guided by its Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory and Research Board.
The NZPA aims to:
* Promote healthcare professional and public education of hair loss and the effects of this disease on people's lives.
* Encourage the progress of scientific research in the field of alopecia and its neighboring fields.
* Help individuals with hair loss problems in finding suitable treatment.
* Legitimize and eliminate the stigma of hair loss in the eyes of society.
New Zealand Propecia Association is the authoritative source of information for patients with alopecia and for the medical professionals. The NZPA is an active and prominent educator in the field of all hair loss disorders.
